I’m transforming my garage into a cute girly workshop. I’ve cleaned out and organized my garage dozens of times, but this time I have a specific vision in mind–creating a feminine space where I can work on my projects and film videos.
I thought it would be fun for me and my team to have customized work jumpsuits, so I ordered some plain white ones from Amazon, dyed them a pretty shade of pink, and personalized them with scraps of fabric and embroidery thread. Watch the video below to see how I did it!
First major task was to declutter and organize. My garage ends up being a holding tank for all sorts of miscellaneous projects and supplies and looks a mess pretty much all the time. We hauled off everything that was trash or could be donated, and then meticulously sorted through all the supplies.
I needed a “big girl” work table for my projects, so I retired the folding Ikea table I had been using and bought a nice, adjustable, rolling worktable from Home Depot. Then I used all of the different shades of pink paint I had on hand (and bought a few more for good measure) and painted the main wall with a brush stroke technique. It kinda looks like pink camo, but I like it!
Making the custom sign for my workshop was a really fun project. I made a template with my Cricut machine, and then used a drill and a jigsaw to cut out the letters. After sanding the rough edges down, I spray painted them gold and mounted on the wall with two sided tape.

@ravenelysetv DIY wooden letter sign for my new workshop space! If you have a Cricut or a projector and a jigsaw, you should try this! It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be and there’s so many ways you can use this technique! #cricut #ryobi #rustoleum #homedepot #woodennamesign #woodensign

It’s really cool to have often used supplies right at your fingertips, so I DIY’d a pegboard wall and used hooks hang up small tools, gloves, and paper towels.
I’m completely happy with how my little workshop turned out. Everything is organized and in its place. I love the pink storage boxes, and that the other bins are clearly labeled with what’s supposed to be in there! I repurposed some gold bar stools to use in the area and they fit perfectly under the worktable. I’m ready to make (and film) lots of cool projects in my new girly workshop!
I'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
