Hey guys! I’m back! I know I’ve been really slacking when it comes to blog posts. I even promised some fashion posts in one of my last youtube videos… and totally forgot to actually post them..heh heh. But here is one of those looks! Better late than never, right? To be honest I was a little hesitant to still share this look because it’s pretty different for me. I tried to step out of my comfort zone with these pants, and then just went crazy with the entire theme of the outfit from there!

I’m actually really glad I took a risk by purchasing these ruffled pants! I’m surprised at how flattering they are! And they’re comfortable too. I wore them for the 4th of July, outdoors, playing with my one year old, and since they’re stretchy, it was all good!

Anyway, I decided to go ALL OUT with this look. The ruffles and the gingham print really inspired me. I was thinking “Retro Picnic Barbie”. So I went matchy-matchy with this baby blue bodysuit (which is actually long sleeve, but I tied the sleeves into a knot for a more summer-appropriate look). I also added a blue bow in my hair so this really screams Retro Barbie, and these cool denim heels which have a retro silhouette but also a transparent modern twist!

Here’s a photo from the other day, styling these pants for the 4th of July!

I think these little pants are super cute for the summer! They’re flirty, they remind me of picnics, they’re unique and most of all…they’re comfy! Would you guys wear these? Leave a comment and let me know! Don’t for forget to Shop The Post below! (The pants come in multiple colors!)
